Endometriosis is a condition that can effect fertility and cause severe pain. It occurs when uterus tissues grow abnormally. Approximately 1 in 10 women suffer from endometriosis.
The FDA recently approved a new endometriosis medicine, called Orlissa, that has been shown to reduce pain during menstruation and some pain outside of menstruation through way of reducing estrogen production. The medicine may a good alternative to over-the-counter medicines, opioids, hormone-suppressing injections and other typical endometriosis treatment measures that may have strong side effects.
